Terms of Service

Groove Money is a personal finance tool that helps you track spending, set budgets, and understand your financial patterns. The Service includes CSV transaction import, budget tracking, subscription monitoring, AI-generated insights, and optional bank account connectivity through third-party providers.

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use it to provide financial services to others or for any unlawful purpose.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Notify us immediately at support@groove.money if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You retain ownership of all financial data you upload or connect to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely to provide the features you use.

We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties. Our use of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

The Service uses AI to generate spending insights and financial summaries based on your transaction data. These insights are provided for informational purposes only.

AI-generated content is not financial advice.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated insight for your specific circumstances. Always consult a qualified financial adviser before making financial decisions.

Certain features — such as connecting your bank accounts — rely on third-party service providers. By using these features, you also agree to the relevant provider's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or availability of third-party services.

CSV files you upload are processed on our servers. We take reasonable steps to secure this data, but no transmission over the internet is completely secure.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious files or attempt to interfere with the Service's operation
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute the Service's content without our written permission
• Use the Service to process data belonging to others without their consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

We aim to keep Groove Money available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. Where a change materially affects your use of the Service, we will provide reasonable notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Groove Money and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial loss, data loss, or loss of business.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including Australian Consumer Law.

The Service, including its design, software, and content (excluding your data), is owned by or licenced to Groove Money. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we choose to discontinue the Service.

If we discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and give you the opportunity to export your data before access is removed.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
